21st Century Lesbian Trailer Trash

I Ought to be Grateful

that Bank of America cares enough to keep an eye out for suspicious account activity. Instead, I'm irritated.

It seems that my life is so damned boring that the following adds up to suspicious:

A purchase at Walmart for under fifty dollars. And a purchase at Long's Drugs for just over fifty dollars. All in one day. Plus, 2 lunches out last week with the boss and LavenderDE. An automatic online account payment. And a Starbucks purchase in the amount of seven dollars and thirty cents. These last purchases occurred between Tuesday and Friday.

It's only unusual because I neglected to stop for cash and so used my ATM card for those minor things for which I usually use cash.

The lesson here, I'm guessing, is don't step out of your little box. Big Brother is probably watching.

What exciting things did I buy? Face cream, sunglasses, and sunscreen. I am going to Hawaii after all. And some new towels and washcloths because my sister will be here and I thought it might be nice.

I wonder if the bank will have a meltdown if I use the account to pay Stanley Steemer?

They probably just wanted to fuck with you for paying $7 for coffee.

LOL Michelle! Maybe I need an intervention?

Interestingly KMae, the TV was on there. But it was an online purchase and I had to get a bank verification.

Haaaaaa! Syd. It was 2 venti iced coffees and a muffin. Sometimes, I share ;^)

Maybe you should warn BofA that you just might have some charges at a place called ABC Stores in Hawaii. And of course as a tourist you are required to bring your camera especially to the World's Premiere Starbucks at the corner of Kalakaua and Kapahulu in beautiful Waikiki. I think there is a webcam at that intersection also so Starbucks probably has installed blinders so as not to infringe on the anonymity of the lesbitrysts happening in front of all of those pasty white flabby butted escapees from middle America.
I absolutely love your style of riteing. Hopefully our pathos will cross! If you are up for a Saturday morning walk/run join our merry band of FrontRunners/FrontWalkers at Kapiolani Park. Better still, call me and I can introduce you to some of the more fun denizens of this rock called Oahu (if indeed you are spending time on this rock as opposed to those other 3 or 4 rocks out here in the Pacific). Pick up a copy of DaKine Magazine and look for the contact info for FrontRunners/FrontWalkers here in Honolulu! Better still, drope me an email at theoneandonlyoneofmanyfriendlyandinterestingkamaainamahuthatreallyenjoyentertainingfriendswehavenotmetyet--AT--fundoshi.com

The majority of purchases are made over here with either debit/credit cards or cash. Folks rarely use checks.. it's SO wierd, but WAY easy!

Course, we've got eighty gazillion CCTV cameras here too. Even spending untraceable cash, Big Brother knows what you're doing...

You know, the good side of this is that they DO catch it if there's a problem. A few months ago we had our credit card number ripped off from an online purchase, probably through Ticketmaster of all places. They were able to catch it b/c of unusual activity. We had to jump through hoops for a month or so anytime after that using our cards, but its worth it, IMO.

Hey MisterFun! Cool beans ;^) I will be in Kuai (sp?). The sis may make a hop to another island to visit a friend. I wish I had more time and I would love to meet up with your Front Runners group. Although I would have to sip coffee and watch. No heart attacks for this old broad!

The funny thing Kim is that I use my debit card so often that the signature strip on the back is worn off. All of my grocery shopping and all of my in store purchases are made with it. It may have been flagged because it was a pattern that followed a couple of online purchases.

You're right Sassy. Several years ago someone did snag my number and tried to make a 1 cent purchase online. Apparently that's a trick to see if the card will work for them and BofA caught it. Everyone will be relieved to know that I was delightfully kind and thankful to the young man who gave me the news and took me through the steps to verify that the purchases were mine :o)

Maybe it was just a slow day for account activity and this particular monitor got bored and started calling random people? I'd while away the time more productively, like by calling people who had made political donations to Republicans and such, saying their accounts had been flagged because, well, really, who on earth would be so dim as to be fooled by the Right in this day and age? Surely this is fraud!
