21st Century Lesbian Trailer Trash

These are the mad musings of a middle aged woman, dyke, nurse, poet. I have a dog, a cat, a mobile home, and delusions of grandeur.

It Was a Dark and Stormy Night

After a beautiful, warm and sunny California dreamin' kind of day, we were engulfed in a deluge of chilly rain. It poured. Buckets. For hours. In fact, it rained all night.

Here was my life in a nutshell.

*Crazy nurses. Some in tears.

*3 admissions, 1 readmit, 1 transfer out with severe infection.

*Readmission returned to ER for continued fever.

*Called or inferred stupid by hospital staff who have no clue what sort of facility we are.

*Work until 8 p.m.

*Drive home in pouring rain.

*Felonious ex-housemate's cat has peed on couch. (Third couch. Third disaster).

*Try to kill cat. (Cat smarter than me).

*Medicate and feed dog.

*Feed soon to be dead cat.

*Clean couch.

*Clean litter box (Yes. I clean it twice daily).

*Dinner: one-half peanut butter sandwich and chocolate ice cream.

*Asleep by midnight.

What are we going to do today? The same thing we do everyday Pinkie. Try to take over the world.

P.S. It's still pouring.

How goes the world domination so far today? Damn rain keeps getting in the way huh? Make sure to stay safe it in will you? Hasn't hit here much...yet. Dinner sounds about right in my book.

(BTW, dear you are not twice my age;), my memory is just REALLY bad)

Why you didn't just feed the cat to the dog is beyond me.

(crouches in fear of retaliation)

Hey there, honey, just remember - YOU weren't admitted to the ER, ok? You go willingly. ;)

Hugs all the way around for ya.

LOL Just Me! If I'm not twice your age I'm getting there fast. Very fast.

I'll have to stop in at Denise's place to see if she has any ideas for cat termination Nelle ;^)

Thanks Francesca! Today was better for me but the poor social worker seemed to have caught whatever I had yesterday. It sucked to be him today. ;^)

And Mocha, my sweet little cup of cappucino, you just gave me a belly laugh. Dog weighs not quite 7 pounds. Cat weighs somewhere between 15 and 18 pounds. I'm afraid it's the dog that would be dinner. Perhaps I could filet and freeze her. Cat popscicles for a summer treat.

LOL Sandra! Thanks for the info. I am leaning closer and closer to the idea of CATricide.
