Hard Day's Night

The people in my life get so very tired of hearing about Survey. Survey, Survey, Survey. Shut up already!

Right now, I can't think about anything serious. It's 10:40 p.m. and I have to be up and about in 7 hours. Screw politics, the national debt and the idiot in the White House.

I did what every smart person does after a day like today. I booted up my computer and brought out the brie, the pepper crackers and a nice glass of wine:

Chateau St Jean Sonoma Chardonnay, vintage 2004
This is a well balanced, full bodied little chardonnay with legs. Perhaps a bit more sweet than dry, it has a moderate complexity that does not overwhelm the palate. I paid 10 dollars. It retails for about 17 dollars a bottle. If you are a fan of white wines, you won't be disappointed.

I do love wines, most types. I've tried so many, and now you make me long for a 5th trip to Napa Valley.

Alas, it is but a Bass I am able to contemplate.

Cheers!

I can't recall seeing any wine with the word fish in it Just Me. But I'll be on the lookout.

Just remember Nelle, if ever you do make that trip, I'm gonna meet you up there. Just make sure it's before I need a walker to get around ;^)

lmao, unfortunately there is none on the horizon. Next planned trip is to Portland, OR some two years out, June 08. Friends would like me to visit them, and it is a nice dyke friendly area.

After that... as I am in love with the idea of travel, might just end up in Napa. Maybe next time a group of us plans a gathering we should head there.

It's Fish Eye. Not sure of teh quality, was going to try it this weekend. I seem to gravitate towrads wines that have odd or silly labels. (Hence teh Fat Bastard) I'll let ya know.

Hey Me Again. Do you know that they come up with those names and labels specifically to appeal to the young and hip such as yourself?

Let me know what you think. I believe we ought to do a 2 woman study of such wines and give a full report in the service of oenophilic women everywhere.

Or would that be oenophallic?

I am about as "young and hip" as a freakin' stale loaf of bread. Figures I would fall for it and here I thought I was being off the beaten path so to speak ;)
I'll let you know how it is, if I can find a few hours to actually enjoy it over the weekend.

Congrats (?) on passing the survey:)

LOL! Congratulations are definitely in order. It means I am employed for at least one more year.

One day you will really understand that you are ahead of the pack. Which makes you hip. And you're younger than me. In my world, that makes you a younun ;^)

Hope you get some down time this weekend.
